OSQR Answering line

The phone you can’t answer and can’t ignore.

You’re up a ladder or under a sink, and it rings. You let it go to voicemail. Plenty of callers hang up without leaving one, and the call that was a job goes to the next name on their list. All you have is a missed call from a number you don’t know.

Forward your phone once. OSQR answers the calls you miss, as your assistant. It handles what it can the way you would, tells the caller “I'll let Dana know” (if you’re Dana), and texts you only when a call needs you: “Susan needs you to call back about the roof estimate.”

Callers hear that the call is recorded, and it answers as your assistant, never as you.

Our founder, a West Valley contractor, has run his own cell on it since October.

$10 a month. 50 answering minutes. No setup fee.

Three steps

  1. 1

    Get your number

Check out, type your cell, and your own OSQR number is ready right away.

  2. 2

    Forward your phone to it

Dial one code from your phone; we show you the one for your carrier. Your phone still rings first.

  3. 3

    Tell it about you

A few lines in your own words, and the questions you want asked. Change them any time.

The forwarding code for your carrier

What it does

  • Handles what it can from what you told it
  • Asks your questions: who is calling, what it is about, how to reach them
  • When a call needs you, tells the caller “I'll let Dana know” with your name in it, and texts you one line
  • Spam, sales calls and hang-ups never text you; every call is in your Inbox

What it does not do yet

It does not text the people who call you. It takes the message and tells them you’ll get back to them, and you call or text them yourself. It does not put callers through to you live.

Straight answers

Do I keep my number?

Yes. You forward the calls you do not answer to your OSQR number with one code from your phone, and one code turns it off. Callers dial your number as always and never see the OSQR one.

Will it text me about every call?

No. Only when a call needs you: a call back, a question only you can answer, something you would want to know today. Spam, sales calls, wrong numbers and hang-ups stay in your Inbox, and you can turn the texts off.

What happens after my 50 minutes?

OSQR stops answering for the rest of the month and callers can leave a recorded message instead. A sales call is usually off the line in under a minute.
