You cannot answer the phone with your hands inside a furnace.
The homeowner with a leak calls three contractors. The one who answers first usually gets the work — and you were on a roof.
The lead does not wait for you to get off the ladder
Every trade business has the same arithmetic. The work that pays happens with your hands busy, and the work that finds more work happens on a phone you cannot reach. Hiring somebody to sit by the phone is a real answer and an expensive one. Missing the call is free and costs more.
The calls you’re missing right now
Real questions, unanswered until somebody gets to a keyboard.
- “Do you service my area?”
- “What do you charge for a diagnostic?”
- “How soon could someone come out?”
- “Do you work on that brand?”
- “Is there an after-hours charge?”
- “Can you give me a rough idea what this costs before you come?”
Where to start, and what to add
In order. Most home services contractors buy the first one and nothing else for a while — that is the intended way to do it, not a smaller version of it.

Business Text Line$249/mo · No OSQR plan requiredCustomers text trades constantly — a photo of a leak, a model number off a furnace. This answers those from your own pricing and service area, and hands you the ones worth your time.

Website Chat$249/mo · No OSQR plan requiredAnswers the service-area and pricing questions that otherwise sit in your inbox until morning, and captures the lead rather than losing it.
A driveway, a patio, a fence — quoted from the truck.
This is what a week looks like once the quote gets written while you are still standing in the job rather than at nine that night. The statuses are the point: sent, and answered.

Demo data — every name and address here is invented.
What we can show you
We have not published a contractor case study, and will not invent one. What we can show is the product answering as a real business with real published prices — ask for a demo and it will be built on yours.
Straight answers for home services contractors
Does it answer my phone?
No. The Business Text Line reads and replies to text messages; if somebody rings it, nobody picks up. If what you need is a human voice on a call, an answering service is the right purchase and we will tell you so.
Will it quote a price it should not?
It prices from your rate book first and flags anything it had to estimate itself, and no quote reaches a customer until you have looked at it — every one lands on a review screen you can edit. The failure mode we design against is a confident wrong number, not a slow one.
What happens when it does not know?
It says so and hands the conversation to you. It answers from documents you give it, so a question outside those gets an honest "I don’t know, someone will follow up" rather than something invented that sounds right.
I already use Jobber or Housecall Pro. Does this replace it?
No, and we have written that down at length. Those run your dispatch, scheduling and invoicing, and we do not. This answers the customers they never see — the ones who text at nine at night and never became a job. We have a page comparing each honestly, including the parts where they win.
How much of my day does setting it up cost?
The input is what you already have — a price sheet, a service area, the questions you answer twenty times a week. If those exist in any form, that is the setup.
See it answer as your business.
Ask for a demo built on your own prices and services. You will know what it knows before you decide anything.
