OSQR Business Line vs Rosie

Rosie answers the phone for 27 industries.
This one was built for the trades, on one plan.

Both pick up when you cannot. Rosie is the bigger name and the faster signup, and for plenty of businesses it is the right buy. The difference is what sits on the higher tiers over there, and what happens to your number and your bill when you get busy.

What Rosie is

a self-serve AI phone answering service for local businesses, sold to dentists, law offices, salons and home services alike.

The actual difference

Rosie is built to sign up any local business in minutes and grow the account from there: the entry tier takes messages, and booking, call transfer and training on your own documents sit further up the ladder. The Business Line was built by a third-generation Phoenix contractor for the trades, and everything it does is on the one plan you buy first.

Tiers you climb, versus one plan

Rosie sells monthly tiers by the minute. The lower tiers take messages; booking, transferring a call to you, and training it on your own documents come with the higher ones. Run past your minutes and the account moves up a tier on its own, for three months. There is no refund and no guarantee, and after you cancel, the number you forwarded to them can be held for up to three months. The Business Line is one plan: $249 a month with 1,000 answering minutes, every feature in it, and no tier above it to be moved onto. Past the allowance the line takes messages until the 1st. More minutes are something only you can buy.

OSQR Business Line: $249/mo. What that includes.

We don't print Rosie's prices here. They change without notice, and a stale number that flattered us would be worse than useless — check their site.

Where Rosie is genuinely better

If one of these is what you need, buy theirs.

Signing up in minutes

Rosie pulls your business in from your Google Business Profile and your website, and you can hear your own agent before you have paid for anything. It is the most polished self-serve front door in this category. Ours builds your line from your website and your cell too, but theirs is the smoother first ten minutes.

The wider integrations list today

Around twenty CRM and scheduling connections, most of them through a third-party automation connector. If the tool you run is on that list and you want every call pushed into it this week, they have the longer list and we do not.

A smaller purchase if you only need messages taken

If all you need is the phone picked up and a message texted to you, their entry tier is a smaller buy than ours. We sell one plan with everything in it, and for a solo operator who only wants messages that is more than they need.

Breadth, and a customer base

They publish a count of over 2,000 businesses on the service, across 27 industries. A dentist, a law office or a salon is a customer they already understand, and one we are not building for. We are newer and smaller, and we answer for one kind of business.

Where OSQR is

Mostly a question of what you had to buy.

Nothing is gated

Booking from your connected calendar, taking over a call, answers from your own documents, a text to your cell with what the caller wanted: all of it is on the one plan. It books on a call from the same calendar your website and your texts use, and texts the caller the confirmation while they are still on the line. Asked something your documents do not cover, it says it does not know. There is no higher tier to grow into because there is only one.

No surprise upgrades, ever

Use up the month’s minutes and the line takes messages until the 1st. More minutes are something you buy on purpose. Nothing moves you to a bigger plan on its own, not for a month and not for three.

Your number stays yours

We give you a new line and never touch the one you already have. Forwarding is a setting at your carrier: one code to turn it on, one to turn it off, and the guide is at /business-line/forward-your-number. We never hold your number, port it, or keep it after you leave.

You can take over any call

Tell it your cell once and a caller who asks for a person is put through to you, live. Every text thread is yours to step into whenever you want to talk to someone yourself.

30 days, every dollar back

If it has not earned its keep in the first month, email and the whole amount comes back. No questions. Before that, call (623) 232-0185: that is our own line, answered by the product. Then take 25 free minutes on a line of your own, no card to start.

Built for the trades

Built by a third-generation Phoenix contractor for plumbers, HVAC, electricians and the rest of the trades. One kind of customer, built for properly, instead of 27 industries served at once.

Pick Rosie if

You are a solo operator who only needs messages taken and wants the smallest tier. You run a dental office, a law practice or a salon. Or the tool you want your calls pushed into is on their integrations list today and not on ours. Rosie is the right buy for all three, and it is a good product.

Pick OSQR if

You are in the trades, you want booking, takeover and answers from your own documents on the first plan you buy, and you want a bill that never moves on its own and a number nobody holds. Call our line first and decide from that.
