For masonry & block

You lay block all day. The bids happen after dark.

A block wall is bid by the linear foot and won by the first written number. Both of those happen off the clock — unless something answers for you.

The wall is priced by the foot, but sold by the response time

Block work is one of the few trades where the customer can nearly price the job themselves — feet of wall, height, gates — which means they text three masons the same dimensions and treat the first credible written number as the frontrunner. If your reply comes tomorrow night after a full day on the line, you are bidding against a number that has already been sitting in their kitchen for a day. Repairs run the same race on a shorter clock: the cracked wall and the leaning fence panel go to whoever responds while the worry is fresh.

The calls you’re missing right now

Real questions, unanswered until somebody gets to a keyboard.

  • What does a block wall run per foot?
  • Can you match the block on the rest of my wall?
  • My wall is leaning — is that a rebuild or a repair?
  • Does the HOA color requirement change the price?
  • Do you do just a gate opening in an existing wall?
  • How deep do the footings go?

Every bid written down, none of them at 10pm.

A week of work priced from rate-book numbers and sitting at draft, pending or approved — instead of on the seat of the truck. For a trade that wins on the first written number, the writing is the weapon.

  • The VoiceQuote quotes list: a foundation package, driveways and patios, each with a total and a status of draft, pending or approved

What we can show you

We hold no masonry case study and will not stage one. Judge instead what runs today: this site’s own live assistant, a working construction company using the products, and a demo built from your rate sheet before any commitment.

Straight answers for masonry & block contractors

Customers text me dimensions. Can it actually quote from that?

It answers with your per-foot pricing for the configuration they describe and states what would change it — footing condition, access, engineering on tall walls — then captures the job for your confirmation. The number it gives is yours; the caveats it gives are also yours.

Repair or rebuild — will it make that call?

No. It shares your general guidance and asks for the photo, which it hands to you with the thread. The judgment call on a leaning wall belongs to the person who has rebuilt a hundred of them.

Does it know city and HOA wall rules?

It repeats the guidance you give it — height limits you commonly hit, the HOA color note, when engineering enters — attributed as your experience, with the honest “verify with your city” attached. It does not improvise regulations.

Does it answer my phone?

No — texts and web messages only; a phone call rings like it always has. The trade’s dimension-texters are exactly who it serves best, and they are most of the after-hours volume anyway.

What happens with a question past its knowledge?

An honest “that one needs the mason — someone will follow up,” and the thread lands with you. One invented answer about footings would cost more than every answered text is worth.
